GPT Image 2.5 Flare + Nano Banana Pro - 9 shot beauty campaigns from brand research
Research a beauty brand, lock the product, then make a 9 shot campaign in the brand's own look
Ever notice how AI ads for a brand never actually look like the brand?
I wanted to see if research fixes that. So I picked four beauty brands, Starface, Glow Recipe, Sol de Janeiro and Drunk Elephant, and made a 9 shot campaign for each one. None of them are clients, this was just a test. Each brand took me about 15 minutes of research before I made a single image.
Here's my exact process.
1. Pick one product, not the whole brand
First, I pick one product. A brand like Drunk Elephant sells dozens of them, and each one has its own pack, claim and size. Try to do the whole brand at once and you end up with mush.
I went with the C-Firma vitamin C serum. It has one bright orange cap, and vitamin C means I get to use oranges as props.
2. Read up on the brand
Then I have Claude run 2 or 3 searches on the founders and how they position the brand. I'm looking for who it's for, the tone, and any rules they've said out loud about how they look.
Quick warning: watch out for fake lookalike sites in the search results. Sol de Janeiro had one. Stick to the official site and real press.
3. Read the product page
Now I go to the product page and write down the exact name, the size, the claim in their own words, the key ingredients and how people actually use it.
Then I cut the claim down to one word. "Firm + brighten" became brighten. That one word decides your props later.
And find the real size. This one burned me. A Starface star is 14mm, about the size of your pinky nail. I skipped this on my first try and every star came out twice as big as the real thing.
4. Get a real photo of the whole product
This is the most important step. Your product photo decides whether the label comes out right. Use a real photo of the whole product. No 3D renders, no mirrored selfies, no photos with badges slapped on top.
Starface's official image is a 3D render with the compact in two pieces, so the model kept splitting the compact in half. The only customer photo I found for Drunk Elephant was a mirror selfie, so the label was backwards.
Also check which sides your photo shows, because the model won't make up the rest. My Sol de Janeiro photo only showed the jar from the side, so the lid top came out as gibberish:

Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real overhead photograph of a flat lay on a golden-yellow surface in hard sunlight from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form, colour and label of the jar from the first reference: ONE single body-cream jar with a rounded bowl-shaped base in glossy warm mango-gold (a deep golden orange-yellow, not lemon) and a white lid. The jar is relit entirely by this scene's light. THE VIBE: Sunny Brazilian self-care, from above. The open golden jar with a swirl of whipped cream, its lid beside it, surrounded by its scent notes — warm, delicious, uplifting, the brand's own world shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: Directly top-down: the single jar open in the centre, filled with a smooth swirl of whipped ivory cream with a soft peak. Its round white lid lies just to the upper right, top side up, with the brand lettering in an arc. Around them, with breathing room: a small pile of shelled green pistachios, two dark vanilla pods, a few chunks of golden salted caramel, a slice of fresh mango, a pair of round tortoiseshell sunglasses, and a few grains of sand. THE SETTING: A smooth saturated golden-yellow surface filling the whole frame. THE LIGHT: KEY — hard direct sunlight from the top-right, crisp hard shadows falling to the lower left under every object; bright highlights on the cream swirl, the glossy jar rim and the caramel. FIELD — bright saturated golden yellow. THE KEY DETAILS: The cream swirl; the scent notes (pistachio, vanilla, caramel); the hard sun shadows. THE MOOD: Warm, delicious, sunny, uplifting. Saturated warm grade: golden yellow, mango, pistachio green, cream white. THE COMPOSITION: The open jar centred, the lid upper right, the other items in a loose circle around them, nothing touching the frame edges. THE CAMERA: Overhead flat-lay photograph, 50mm lens, everything sharp. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: The lid top shows the brand lettering as in the first reference, small; no other added text anywhere; no brand names on the sunglasses.
5. Look at how they shoot their own stuff
Start with the product photos on their site. What backgrounds do they use? What's the light like? What props? Who do they cast?
Use Instagram for the vibe only, because collabs take over feeds. When I checked, Starface's feed was all Hello Kitty and Glow Recipe's was a spicy noodle collab.
6. Match the brand, don't reinvent it
I learned this one the hard way. My first Starface set took a bright, playful drugstore brand and turned it into dark, moody luxury. Looked cool, but it didn't look like Starface anymore.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a photograph taken in a monumental saffron-yellow architectural set from the start — not a composite. Rebuild the entire scene as if shot natively here, with unified lighting across subject and environment. Editorial fashion photography, unretouched, no beauty filter, no skin smoothing. THE VIBE: A small figure in a world built in her product's colour. She stands alone and unbothered in a vast golden space, the little compact held close like a talisman. Luxury campaign register: one bold idea, monumental scale, generous negative space. IDENTITY LOCK: Preserve the young woman with deep warm-brown skin and short natural black coils, from the first reference. Do NOT source face, hair, skin, or outfit from any other reference. She is relit entirely by this scene's light; the reference's lighting is discarded. THE SUBJECT: Full body, standing on the second step of a wide curved stone staircase, weight on her back leg, body turned three-quarters, head turned toward a beam of light, expression calm and unsmiling. Both hands hold ONE single closed yellow compact against her sternum — the glossy saturated lemon-yellow rounded-square compact with the star-eyed smile, from the second reference. She wears a long black sculptural column dress with a high neck and a structured shoulder line, and small gold hoop earrings. THE FACE: Real, unretouched skin with fine visible texture, slightly uneven natural tone, mostly matte. Minimal natural makeup: bare skin, no foundation, no contour, no highlighter. Warm red-brown undertone depth in the shadows, never ashy. THE SETTING: A monumental interior of smooth saffron-yellow plaster: tall curved walls rising out of frame, a wide sweeping staircase of the same yellow plaster, a deep arched recess behind her. Subtle real plaster texture, faint hairline cracks and soft patina at the base of the walls, dust in the air. Tonal yellows from pale lemon in the light to deep ochre in the shadows. THE LIGHT: KEY — one hard beam of sun-like light from a high slit window camera-left, cutting a sharp diagonal shaft through the dusty air, landing on her face, shoulder and the compact in her hands; her long crisp shadow falls across the steps to the right. FIELD — mid-to-dark: the lit walls glow saffron, the recess and upper walls fall into deep ochre and near-black. The same beam lights her and the plaster; her shadow and the step shadows align. One faint hot-magenta reflection on the polished step edge. THE KEY DETAILS: The compact held at her heart, the brightest yellow in the frame; the shaft of light with dust; her long shadow on the steps. THE MOOD: Monumental, serene, quiet luxury. Tonal gold-ochre and black grade, rich, warm. THE COMPOSITION: Wide shot from a low angle. Her full figure, head to the step she stands on, fills about a third of the frame height, placed on the lower-right third; the curved walls and light shaft fill the upper frame; generous negative space. THE CAMERA: Cinematic wide architectural fashion photograph, 35mm lens, low angle, deep-ish focus with the figure sharp; Villeneuve vast and isolated. Fine natural film grain across the whole frame. Looks like a real model photographed on location, not a render. THE LABEL: The compact's star-eyed smile visible but small. No added text, no wordmark, no lettering anywhere.
So now I keep everything that makes the brand the brand: the pack, the colors, who it's for and the mood. The only thing I level up is the execution. Better light, better sets, better composition, and a label that's actually correct.
My test is simple. Put your image next to their Instagram feed. It should look like their best shoot ever, not someone else's ad.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real studio photograph taken on a bright paper set from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact colour and face design of the compact from the first reference: ONE single glossy saturated lemon-yellow rounded-square compact, CLOSED, its lid printed with two small black star-shaped eyes and a simple black curved smile. Only ONE compact exists in this image. The compact is relit entirely by this scene's light; the reference's lighting is discarded. THE VIBE: Loud, happy, cute and confident — a pop-bright product photo that feels like the brand's own world, just shot beautifully. The little smiling compact is the star of the party. Playful, saturated, fun, never moody. THE SUBJECT: The single closed yellow compact sitting upright on its rounded edge on top of a small glossy hot-magenta cylindrical plinth, tilted back slightly so its star-eyed smiling lid faces the camera at a gentle three-quarter angle. Real moulded plastic: a crisp flash highlight along the rounded top edge, a tiny reflection of the flash on the lid, a faint fingerprint on one corner, a clean contact shadow where it touches the plinth. THE SETTING: A seamless hot-magenta paper backdrop sweeping into the floor. Scattered across the plinth top and the floor around it: about twenty small saturated lemon-yellow star-shaped patches lying flat like confetti, a few tilted against each other, each with a thin glossy edge. Bright, clean, simple — like the brand's own colours built as a real set. THE LIGHT: KEY — a direct on-camera flash slightly above the lens, bright and punchy, giving the compact a crisp specular highlight and throwing one hard, clean pop shadow behind the compact and plinth onto the magenta paper. FIELD — bright: the magenta backdrop evenly lit and fully saturated. High-key, no dark corners. THE KEY DETAILS: The star-eyed smile crisp and exact; the yellow star confetti; the hard flash shadow. THE MOOD: Joyful, cheeky, pop. Punchy-saturated grade: electric lemon yellow against hot magenta, clean whites, true blacks only in the face. THE COMPOSITION: The compact and plinth centred slightly below the middle of the tall frame, the compact filling about a third of the frame width, star confetti spread around the lower half, open magenta space above. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial product photograph with direct flash, 50mm lens, slight low angle, everything in sharp focus. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: The compact's face is the brand mark — two black star eyes and a black curved smile on the yellow lid, rendered exactly. No added text, no wordmark, no lettering anywhere.
7. Turn your notes into a look
This is where the research pays off. Almost every creative call comes straight from what you wrote down:
- Colors come from the pack. Drunk Elephant got matte white and orange, plus the pink and yellow color blocks from their own product shots.
- Props come from the claim. Brighten became fresh citrus and lots of light.
- More props come from the ingredients. Watermelon for Glow Recipe. Guaraná, cupuaçu, sugarcane, pistachio and vanilla for Sol de Janeiro.
- Casting comes from who it's for. Drunk Elephant got heat for kids buying their skincare, so I cast a woman who's clearly an adult, with freckles and sun spots.

Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real studio photograph taken on a golden-yellow set in hard sunlight from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form, colour and label of the jar from the first reference: ONE single body-cream jar with a rounded bowl-shaped base in glossy warm mango-gold (a deep golden orange-yellow, not lemon) and a tall white lid band. The jar is relit entirely by this scene's light. THE VIBE: The taste of Brazil in a jar. The golden jar sits among the real Brazilian ingredients and scent notes behind it — sunny, warm, delicious, uplifting, the brand's own world shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: The single closed jar standing upright slightly left of centre, lid lettering facing the camera. Arranged around it on the yellow surface: two bright red guaraná fruits, one split open showing its white flesh and black seed like an eye; half a cupuaçu fruit cut open showing creamy white segments in a rough brown shell; two short pieces of green sugarcane stalk; a small pile of shelled green pistachios; two dark vanilla pods; and a soft ivory swoosh of cream. THE SETTING: A seamless saturated golden-yellow backdrop and floor. THE LIGHT: KEY — hard direct sunlight from high camera-right, warm, crisp long shadows to the left under every object; crisp highlights on the glossy jar base, the guaraná skins and the cream. FIELD — bright saturated golden yellow. THE KEY DETAILS: The real ingredients, each clearly recognisable; the hard sun shadows; the glossy mango-gold jar. THE MOOD: Warm, delicious, sunny, uplifting. Saturated warm grade: golden yellow, mango, guaraná red, sugarcane green, cream white. THE COMPOSITION: Slightly high three-quarter angle, the jar as the clear focal point, the ingredients arranged around it with breathing room, nothing touching the frame edges. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial still-life photograph, 85mm lens, everything sharp. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: Copy the lettering on the jar's white lid band exactly as in the first reference: the small italic serif brand name on a dotted line, the big bold condensed dark-grey product name below it, the small script line under that. No other added text anywhere.
8. Nail the hero shot first
Before anything else, I make one product shot. This sets the light and the colors for the whole set, so I don't move on until I like it.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real studio photograph on a bright colour-blocked set from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form, colour and label of the serum bottle from the first reference: ONE single tall square-section bottle with a matte white body and a bright vermilion-orange square cap with a small orange square pump nozzle on top, and the black serif front label. The bottle is relit entirely by this scene's light; the reference's lighting is discarded. THE VIBE: Bright side up. The bold little orange-capped bottle stands on a playful, toy-like set of simple shapes in its own colours, a juicy halved blood orange beside it — clean, confident, cheerful, exactly the brand's own world of matte white with pops of colour, shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: The single bottle standing upright on top of a matte vermilion-orange cube block, front label facing the camera at a slight three-quarter angle. Beside the cube, on the floor: a large matte soft-peach sphere and a smaller matte orange sphere, and one halved blood orange showing its glistening deep red-orange flesh. The bottle's matte white surface shows a faint real-world texture and a crisp highlight along its edge. THE SETTING: A seamless studio backdrop split into two clean colour blocks: soft pale pink on the upper part and sunny yellow on the floor. THE LIGHT: KEY — a large bright softbox from high camera-left, clean and crisp, soft-edged shadows falling to the right of the bottle, cube and spheres; a small bright highlight on the wet orange flesh. FIELD — bright, high-key pink and yellow. No dark corners. THE KEY DETAILS: The matte geometric blocks in brand colours; the juicy blood orange; the clean shadows; the bottle as the clear hero. THE MOOD: Cheerful, clean, confident, playful. Bright saturated-but-clean grade: matte white, vermilion orange, pale pink, sunny yellow, blood-orange red. THE COMPOSITION: The bottle on its cube centred slightly above the middle of the tall frame, about a fifth of the frame width, the spheres and the halved orange around the base, open pink space above. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial product photograph, 85mm lens, eye level, everything sharp. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: Foreground the front label, accurate and readable, in black serif type: a small line-drawn elephant logo with "DRUNK ELEPHANT" under it; "C-Firma Fresh Day Serum" and "Sérum de jour"; "FIRM + BRIGHTEN" in small capitals; a small orange four-point cross; "15% L-Ascorbic Acid" and "Ferulic Acid"; an orange bar near the base. No other added text anywhere.
9. Lock in one person
Then I make one portrait and use it as the face reference for every shot she's in. That way it reads like one campaign instead of a bunch of random models.
One tip: describe her skin in every single prompt, even the close-ups. If you don't, the model quietly clears up her acne or her sun spots.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. Editorial beauty photography, unretouched, no beauty filter, no skin smoothing. THE VIBE: Bright side up. A confident woman holds the little orange-capped bottle by her jaw and gives a warm, knowing half-smile — clean, bright, playful-confident, exactly the brand's own world of matte white with pops of colour, shot beautifully. IDENTITY LOCK: An adult woman in her early thirties: light-medium warm skin with a golden undertone, lots of natural freckles across her nose and cheeks and a few real sun spots and uneven patches of hyperpigmentation on her cheekbones, fine lines at the outer corners of her eyes when she smiles; auburn-brown hair pulled into a sleek low bun; hazel eyes; strong natural brows; a defined jaw and cheekbones; a correctly-proportioned straight nose. THE SUBJECT: Head and shoulders, three-quarter turn toward camera-left, chin slightly lifted, a warm closed-mouth half-smile, eyes looking just past the lens. Her right hand holds ONE single serum bottle upright beside her jaw, label facing the camera — the tall square-section bottle with the matte white body, the bright vermilion-orange square cap and the small orange pump nozzle, from the first reference. Her fingers wrap naturally around the bottle; no finger is raised on its own. She wears a crisp white tank top and small gold stud earrings. THE FACE: Close-up: real, unretouched skin with visible pores, freckles and sun spots clearly visible and left uncovered, slightly uneven natural tone, fine smile lines; mostly matte with a faint natural sheen only on the forehead centre and the bridge of the nose. Minimal natural makeup: no foundation, no contour, no highlighter, lightly groomed brows. Iris with a natural gradient and a soft catchlight; individual lashes; a few fine flyaway hairs. THE SETTING: A seamless clean pale-pink studio backdrop. THE LIGHT: KEY — a large bright softbox from high camera-left, clean and crisp, gentle soft shadow on the far side of her face. FIELD — bright, high-key pale pink. No dark corners. THE KEY DETAILS: The orange cap as the only strong colour near her face; her freckles and sun spots; the readable label. THE MOOD: Confident, warm, clean, bright. Clean grade: matte white, vermilion orange, pale pink, warm skin. THE COMPOSITION: Head in the upper-middle of the tall frame with headroom, face slightly left of centre, the bottle by her jaw on the right taking about a quarter of the frame height, shoulders at the bottom. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial beauty portrait, 85mm lens, eye level, the face and bottle sharp. Fine natural film grain across the whole frame including the face and skin. Looks like a real woman photographed in studio, not a render. THE LABEL: The front label readable in black serif type: a small line-drawn elephant logo with "DRUNK ELEPHANT"; "C-Firma Fresh Day Serum"; "FIRM + BRIGHTEN"; a small orange four-point cross; "15% L-Ascorbic Acid". No other added text anywhere.
10. Plan the other 7 shots
Now I plan the rest. I switch between person and product, change how close the camera is on every shot (macro, close, medium, wide), and end on a close-up of the label.
If the text on the label matters, keep the product big in the frame. In wide shots the small text goes blurry, and honestly that's fine. It just reads like a real photo.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real macro photograph in a bright clean studio from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact label design, logo drawing, typography and colours from the first reference, a close crop of the front label; the whole bottle from the second reference shows the matte white body and the bright vermilion-orange cap above. The bottle is relit entirely by this scene's light. THE VIBE: The signature, up close. The clean front label of the bottle with the bright orange cap just above — crisp, confident, clean. The brand's sign-off, shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: A tight close-up of the front of the bottle: the bottom edge of the vermilion-orange cap across the top of the frame, and the matte white front label filling the rest, slightly angled. A few tiny clear droplets of water on the matte white surface, kept away from the logo and the type. THE SETTING: The bottle fills the frame; a sliver of soft pale-pink background at the edges. THE LIGHT: KEY — a large bright softbox from high camera-left, raking gently across the matte surface so the fine texture and the printed letters read crisp; a clean highlight along the bottle's edge; a small highlight in each droplet. FIELD — bright, high-key. THE KEY DETAILS: The elephant logo drawn exactly as in the first reference; the label text razor-sharp and correct; the matte texture; the orange cap edge. THE MOOD: Clean, confident, bright. Clean grade: matte white, vermilion orange, black type, pale pink. THE COMPOSITION: The label centred in the tall frame, the elephant logo in the upper third, the product name across the middle, the orange cross and ingredient lines in the lower third. THE CAMERA: Macro product photograph, 100mm macro lens, shallow depth of field with the logo and product name razor-sharp. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: HERO — render the front label exactly as in the first reference, sharp and correctly spelled, in black serif type, line by line. The logo: copy the small elephant drawing from the first reference stroke for stroke — a delicate, sparse, hand-drawn thin black line sketch of an elephant seen from the front, a rounded dome of a head, one large rounded ear, a long trunk hanging straight down the middle, and two short lines for the front legs; very few lines, open and airy, no shading, no fill, no eyes drawn in detail. "ESTD" small to its left and "2012" small to its right. Below it "DRUNK ELEPHANT™" in small spaced capitals; then "C-Firma™ Fresh"; "Day Serum"; "Sérum de jour"; "FIRM + BRIGHTEN" in small spaced capitals; a small orange four-point cross with rounded ends; "15% L-Ascorbic Acid"; "Ferulic Acid"; a thin orange bar near the bottom. No other text anywhere.
11. Fix what breaks
And listen, the model isn't perfect. On the Drunk Elephant set it gave the pump a little side spout that doesn't exist:

Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real close-up photograph in a bright clean studio from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form, colour and label of the serum bottle from the first reference: ONE single tall square-section bottle with a matte white body, a bright vermilion-orange square cap with a small orange square pump nozzle on top, and the black serif front label. The bottle is relit entirely by this scene's light. THE VIBE: One pump, fresh. Hands dispense a small pool of clear golden serum into a cupped palm — clean, tactile, bright, the brand's own world of matte white with pops of colour, shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: Two hands with light-medium warm skin and a few freckles on the back of the hands. The left hand is cupped, palm up, low in the frame, holding a small pool of clear pale-golden serum in the centre of the palm. The right hand holds the single bottle tilted slightly over the palm, its thumb resting on top of the orange pump, label facing the camera, a thin thread of serum just leaving the nozzle. Short natural nails with a sheer polish, a thin gold ring. On the clean surface below, two orange slices. THE FACE: No face — hands only: real, unretouched skin with fine texture, natural knuckle creases, a few freckles; mostly matte except the glossy serum. THE SETTING: A seamless soft pale-pink backdrop, with a sunny-yellow surface below. THE LIGHT: KEY — a large bright softbox from high camera-left, clean and crisp, a bright highlight in the pool of serum and on the bottle's edge. FIELD — bright, high-key. THE KEY DETAILS: The clear golden serum pooling in the palm; the thumb on the orange pump; the readable label. THE MOOD: Fresh, tactile, clean, bright. Clean grade: matte white, vermilion orange, pale pink, sunny yellow. THE COMPOSITION: The bottle in the upper-middle of the tall frame, the cupped palm with the serum in the lower-middle, the orange slices at the bottom edge. THE CAMERA: Bright close-up beauty photograph, 85mm lens, shallow depth of field, the serum and label sharp. Fine natural film grain. Looks like a real photograph, not a render. THE LABEL: The front label readable in black serif type: the small line-drawn elephant logo with "DRUNK ELEPHANT"; "C-Firma Fresh Day Serum"; "FIRM + BRIGHTEN"; a small orange four-point cross; "15% L-Ascorbic Acid". No other added text anywhere.
The fix was easy. I cropped the pump out of the brand's photo and added it as a second reference. Fixed on the first try. I did the same thing with a crop of the label to fix the elephant logo.

Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real close-up photograph in a bright clean studio from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form, colour and label of the serum bottle from the first reference: ONE single tall square-section bottle with a matte white body, a wide bright vermilion-orange square cap, and the black serif front label. Preserve the exact pump head from the second reference: a smaller square orange block sitting on top of the wide square cap, flat-topped, with only a tiny square nozzle stub with a small round hole at its top front edge — no spout, no tube, no lever, no round pump. The bottle is relit entirely by this scene's light. THE VIBE: One pump, fresh. A single press releases a small bead of clear golden serum straight down into a cupped palm — clean, tactile, bright, the brand's own world of matte white with pops of colour, shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: Two hands with light-medium warm skin and a few freckles on the back of the hands. The left hand is cupped, palm up, low in the frame, holding a small pool of clear pale-golden serum in the centre of the palm. The right hand holds the single bottle upright and slightly tilted over the palm, label facing the camera, fingers wrapped around the white body, the index fingertip pressing down flat on the top of the square orange pump block. A single small drop of serum hangs from the tiny round hole at the front of the pump block, directly above the pool in the palm. Short natural nails with a sheer polish, a thin gold ring. On the surface below, a halved orange and an orange slice. THE FACE: No face — hands only: real, unretouched skin with fine texture, natural knuckle creases, a few freckles; mostly matte except the glossy serum. THE SETTING: A seamless soft pale-pink backdrop, with a sunny-yellow surface below. THE LIGHT: KEY — a large bright softbox from high camera-left, clean and crisp, a bright highlight in the pool of serum, in the hanging drop and along the bottle's edge; soft-edged shadows of the hands falling to camera-right. FIELD — bright, high-key, even with the hands. THE KEY DETAILS: The square orange pump block with its tiny nozzle hole and the hanging drop; the clear golden serum pooling in the palm; the readable label. THE MOOD: Fresh, tactile, clean, bright. Clean grade: matte white, vermilion orange, pale pink, sunny yellow. THE COMPOSITION: The bottle in the upper-middle of the tall frame with the whole pump head clearly visible, the cupped palm with the serum in the lower-middle, the orange halves at the bottom edge. THE CAMERA: Bright close-up beauty photograph, 85mm lens, shallow depth of field, the pump, serum and label sharp. Fine natural film grain. Looks like a real photograph, not a render. THE LABEL: The front label readable in black serif type, exactly as in the first reference: the small line-drawn elephant logo with "DRUNK ELEPHANT"; "C-Firma Fresh Day Serum"; "FIRM + BRIGHTEN"; a small orange four-point cross; "15% L-Ascorbic Acid". No other added text anywhere.
Two more things that broke on me:
- Size small stuff against a body part. Saying the star was "smaller than her fingertip pad" got Starface's stars down to their real size.
- Never ask for one finger near the face. One of my Glow Recipe shots came out looking like she was giving the middle finger 😅 Now I always ask for three fingertips together.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a photograph taken on a pink studio set from the start — not a composite. Editorial beauty photography, unretouched, no beauty filter, no skin smoothing. THE VIBE: "A drop of dew." She gently pats glow onto her cheekbone with soft fingertips, eyes softly closed — a fresh, sweet, glowing little ritual. Cute-premium, the brand's own world shot beautifully. IDENTITY LOCK: Preserve the young Korean-American woman with straight black hair in a loose low bun and face-framing pieces, from the first reference. Do NOT source face or hair from any other reference. She is relit entirely by this scene's light. THE SUBJECT: A close-up of her face in three-quarter profile, eyes softly closed, a tiny content smile. Her right hand is relaxed and open, palm facing her face, the hand held sideways so the camera sees the side of the hand: the soft pads of her index, middle and ring fingers are held together side by side and rest flat and gently on the top of her cheekbone, patting serum in; her thumb is relaxed and her little finger curves softly. All fingers are together and gently curved — NO single finger is raised or extended on its own, no pointing, no gesture. Small pearl stud earring. A sliver of a white ribbed tank top at the bottom. THE FACE: Close-up: real, unretouched skin with visible pores, fine peach-fuzz, slightly uneven natural tone, a few faint dark spots left visible. The forehead, the cheeks below the cheekbone, the chin and the sides of the nose are MATTE with visible texture — no shine there. The ONLY glow is one soft satin highlight on the very top of the cheekbone just above her fingertips; a smooth satin sheen, not wet, not streaky, no glitter. Minimal natural makeup: no foundation, no contour, a hint of sheer pink lip tint. Individual lashes, individual flyaway hairs. Real knuckle texture, short natural nails with a sheer pink polish. THE SETTING: A seamless soft watermelon-pink backdrop. THE LIGHT: KEY — a large soft light from high camera-left, bright and fresh, one crisp small highlight on the satin cheekbone; a gentle soft shadow on the far side of her face. FIELD — bright, high-key pink. THE KEY DETAILS: The relaxed hand with three fingertips together patting the cheekbone; the single satin highlight against otherwise matte skin. THE MOOD: Fresh, sweet, calm, cute-premium. Soft pastel-pink grade, warm natural skin. THE COMPOSITION: Her face filling the upper two thirds of the tall frame, the fingertips on the cheekbone at the visual centre, headroom above, the tank sliver at the bottom. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial beauty close-up, 100mm lens, shallow depth of field with the fingertips and cheekbone sharp. Fine natural film grain across the whole frame including the face and skin. Looks like a real model photographed in studio, not a render. THE LABEL: No text, no lettering anywhere.
12. Put all 9 in a grid
Last step, I lay all 9 out in a 3x3 grid, going product, person, product (or the other way around). Seeing them all together makes it super obvious which shot doesn't belong.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a photograph taken on a bright yellow paper set from the start — not a composite. Editorial beauty photography with direct flash, unretouched, no beauty filter, no skin smoothing. THE VIBE: Cute, cheeky and completely unbothered. She wears her little stars proudly on her breakout, playful and confident — a pop-bright beauty portrait that feels like the brand's own world, shot beautifully. IDENTITY LOCK: Preserve the young woman with deep warm-brown skin, short natural black coils and her real acne, from the first reference. Do NOT source face or hair from any other reference. She is relit entirely by this scene's flash; the reference's dark moody lighting is discarded. THE SUBJECT: Head and shoulders, face turned three-quarters toward camera, head tilted slightly, a playful closed-mouth half-smile, eyes looking just past the lens. Exactly TWO small star-shaped pimple patches on her face, each 14 millimetres across — about the size of a pinky fingernail, roughly the width of her nostril — in solid opaque saturated electric lemon yellow, each a real thin patch with a slightly glossy edge, stuck directly on top of a pimple: one on her right cheekbone, one on her chin. Only two stars, no others. Around them, other small pimples and dark marks stay visible. Small gold hoop earrings. A fitted hot-magenta ribbed tank top. THE FACE: Close-up: real, unretouched skin with visible pores, fine peach-fuzz, uneven texture, small raised pimples and dark post-acne marks clearly visible, mostly matte with a faint natural sheen only on the forehead centre, nose bridge and top of the cheekbones. Minimal natural makeup: bare skin, no foundation, no contour, no highlighter, lightly groomed brows. Warm red-brown undertone depth, never ashy. Iris with a natural gradient, a sharp flash catchlight, individual lashes. Individual coils at the hairline. THE SETTING: A seamless electric lemon-yellow paper backdrop. THE LIGHT: KEY — a direct on-camera flash slightly above the lens, bright and punchy, a crisp glint on each star's glossy edge, one hard clean shadow cast behind her onto the yellow paper. FIELD — bright yellow, evenly lit. High-key, no moody darkness. THE KEY DETAILS: The two small yellow stars as real patches on her pimples; the magenta tank against the yellow backdrop; the gold hoops. THE MOOD: Playful, confident, pop. Punchy-saturated grade: electric yellow, hot magenta, warm skin, true blacks only in her hair. THE COMPOSITION: Head in the upper-middle of the tall frame with headroom, face slightly left of centre, shoulders and the magenta tank anchoring the bottom. THE CAMERA: Beauty portrait with direct flash, 85mm lens, eye level, the face and stars sharp. Fine natural film grain across the whole frame including the skin. Looks like a real person photographed, not a render.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real overhead photograph of a flat lay on bright yellow paper from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form of the compact from the first reference: ONE single rounded-square compact made in ONE piece, lid joined to the base by a hinge, a small square mirror inside the lid, a shallow tray in the base. Recolour it to a glossy saturated electric lemon yellow. Only ONE compact exists. Ignore the reference's hands, table and lighting; the compact is relit entirely by this scene's flash. THE VIBE: Her everyday bag spilled out, cute and organised — a pop-bright flat lay that feels like the brand's own feed, just shot beautifully. Playful, real, bright. THE SUBJECT: The single yellow compact lying open in the centre, lid flat behind it with its mirror facing up, the tray filled with neat rows of small saturated lemon-yellow star patches. Around it, arranged playfully with a little breathing room: a perforated sheet of yellow star patches with three stars already peeled off, a hot-magenta claw hair clip, a pair of small gold hoop earrings, a clear unbranded lip gloss tube, a black hair tie, and a few loose yellow stars scattered. THE SETTING: A seamless electric lemon-yellow paper surface filling the whole frame, with one hot-magenta paper square laid at an angle under the compact. THE LIGHT: KEY — a bright direct flash from above, crisp highlights on the glossy compact, the mirror and the gold, small hard clean shadows under every object. FIELD — bright yellow, evenly lit. High-key, punchy, no darkness. THE KEY DETAILS: The rows of yellow stars in the tray; the peeled sheet; the mirror catching a bright flash reflection; no brand names on any object. THE MOOD: Cute, organised, pop. Punchy-saturated grade: electric yellow, hot magenta, gold, true black. THE COMPOSITION: Directly top-down, the compact centred on the magenta square, the other items arranged around it in a loose circle with space between them, nothing touching the frame edges. THE CAMERA: Overhead flat-lay photograph with direct flash, 50mm lens, everything in sharp focus. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: No added text, no wordmarks or logos on any object, no lettering anywhere.

Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real macro photograph taken on a bright magenta set from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact colour and face design of the compact lid from the first reference: the glossy saturated lemon-yellow rounded lid printed with two small flat black five-pointed star eyes and a simple flat black curved smile. The compact is relit entirely by this scene's flash; the reference's lighting is discarded. THE VIBE: The signature smile, up close and cheeky. The little star-eyed face fills the frame, water beading clean off its glossy lid — protected and grinning. Loud, happy, pop. THE SUBJECT: An extreme macro of the lid of the closed yellow compact, tilted at a playful diagonal, the two black star-shaped eyes and the black curved smile filling the centre of the frame. The eyes and smile are flat printed black graphics on the plastic surface, crisp-edged, with no depth or shine of their own. The glossy yellow plastic is dotted with small clear water droplets — perfectly transparent, round, beading up — a few beads rolling off the edge. THE SETTING: The lid's rounded edge falls away to a hot-magenta paper backdrop, with three small yellow star patches lying on it, softly out of focus. THE LIGHT: KEY — a direct on-camera flash, bright and punchy, a crisp specular highlight in every droplet and a long bright streak along the lid's curved edge, tiny hard shadows under each droplet. FIELD — bright magenta. High-key, no darkness. THE KEY DETAILS: The face crisp and exact; the clear droplets beading off as proof of protection; the faint micro-texture of moulded plastic. THE MOOD: Cheeky, iconic, pop. Punchy-saturated grade: electric yellow against hot magenta, true black only in the face. THE COMPOSITION: The face centred slightly above the middle of the tall frame, filling about two thirds of the frame width, tilted on a diagonal, magenta and the soft yellow stars in the lower corner. THE CAMERA: Macro product photograph with direct flash, 100mm macro lens, shallow depth of field with the face and nearest droplets razor-sharp. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: HERO — the star-eyed smile is the brand mark: render the two flat black five-pointed star eyes and the single flat black curved smile exactly, sharp and clean. No added text, no wordmark, no lettering anywhere.

Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real studio photograph taken on a pink water set from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form, colour and label of the serum bottle from the first reference: ONE single rounded bulb-shaped frosted glass bottle with a pearly watermelon-pink shimmer, a soft-pink cylindrical cap with a curved swoop-shaped spout, and a white square label on the front. The bottle is relit entirely by this scene's light; the reference's lighting is discarded. THE VIBE: Juicy, dewy, fresh. The little pink bottle stands in a shallow pool of pink water beside a glistening watermelon wedge, catching sparkles of light — cute, premium and glowing, exactly the brand's own sunny watermelon world, shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: The single bottle from the first reference standing upright, front label facing the camera at a slight three-quarter angle, its base sitting in about a centimetre of still pink water with a soft ripple ring around it. The frosted glass shows a pearly pink sheen and a few fresh water droplets on its shoulder. Beside it, leaning against the bottle's right side, one fresh watermelon wedge with juicy red-pink flesh, a few black seeds, a thin pale rind and a green outer rind, glistening with juice. THE SETTING: A seamless soft watermelon-pink backdrop; the floor is a shallow sheet of pink water with gentle ripples and reflections of the bottle and wedge. THE LIGHT: KEY — a large soft light from high camera-left, bright and fresh, wrapping the bottle; a crisp small sparkle glint on the cap's swoop and on the wet watermelon flesh; light passing through the water and the edge of the watermelon flesh so it glows. FIELD — bright, high-key pink. No dark corners. THE KEY DETAILS: The glistening watermelon wedge; the ripples and reflections in the pink water; droplets on the glass; tiny sparkle glints. THE MOOD: Fresh, juicy, sunny, cute-premium. Soft pastel-pink grade with juicy watermelon red and a small touch of rind green. THE COMPOSITION: The bottle and wedge slightly below centre in the tall frame, the bottle about a third of the frame width, soft pink space above, the water surface across the lower third. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial product photograph, 85mm lens, slight low angle, the bottle and label sharp, the background softly falling off. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: Foreground the white square label, accurate and readable: "GLOW RECIPE" on the first line, then "WATERMELON GLOW", then "NIACINAMIDE", then "DEW DROPS", in thin dark-red sans-serif capitals. No other added text anywhere.

Create a new photorealistic image. This is a real studio photograph taken on a golden-yellow set in hard sunlight from the start — not a composite or a 3D render. Preserve the exact form, colour and label of the jar from the first reference: ONE single body-cream jar with a rounded bowl-shaped base in glossy mango-gold yellow and a tall white lid band. The jar is relit entirely by this scene's light; the reference's lighting is discarded. THE VIBE: Sunny, joyful, uplifting. The golden jar sits on a big luscious swoosh of cream in hard Rio sunshine — warm, bold, happy, exactly the brand's own sunny world, shot beautifully. THE SUBJECT: The single jar, closed, tilted back slightly at a three-quarter angle so the lid band's lettering faces the camera, resting on top of a large thick swoosh of rich ivory body cream that has been spread across the surface with a spatula — soft peaks, smooth curved ridges, a satin sheen. The mango-gold base is glossy with a crisp sun highlight. THE SETTING: A seamless saturated golden-yellow backdrop and floor. THE LIGHT: KEY — hard direct sunlight from high camera-right, warm, throwing one long crisp shadow of the jar across the cream and the yellow floor to the left; crisp specular highlights on the glossy gold base and the cream's ridges. FIELD — bright saturated golden yellow. No dark corners. THE KEY DETAILS: The thick cream swoosh with ridges and peaks; the hard sun shadow; the glossy gold base. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial product photograph, 85mm lens, slightly high three-quarter angle, everything sharp. Every element tactile and real, highly detailed. THE LABEL: Foreground the white lid band, accurate and readable: a small dotted line with "SOL DE JANEIRO" in thin italic serif; below it, large bold condensed dark-grey capitals "BRAZILIAN BUM BUM CREAM" wrapping around the band; below that, a small script line "Visibly Firms & Tightens, Fast Absorbing" with a tiny diamond emblem. Create a new photorealistic image. This is a photograph taken on a sunny beach in Rio de Janeiro from the start — not a composite. Rebuild the entire scene as if shot natively here, with unified lighting across subject and environment. Editorial lifestyle photography, unretouched, no beauty filter, no skin smoothing. THE VIBE: Joy you can feel. A woman on a sunny Rio beach laughs out loud, holding up her golden jar of body cream — warm, uplifting, confident and happy in herself, exactly the brand's own sunny world, shot beautifully. IDENTITY LOCK: An adult Brazilian woman in her late twenties: warm tan olive-brown skin with a golden undertone, long dark-brown wavy hair loose and a little windswept, dark brown eyes, strong natural brows, a wide genuine smile, a soft rounded face, a natural everyday figure — not a fitness model. THE SUBJECT: Waist-up shot, sitting on the sand, leaning slightly back, laughing with her head tilted, eyes crinkled, looking just past the camera. Her right hand holds ONE single body-cream jar up beside her shoulder, lid facing the camera — the jar with the rounded bowl-shaped glossy mango-gold base and the tall white lid band, from the first reference — large enough in frame that the lettering on the lid is readable. She wears a loose mango-yellow linen button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled, over a simple yellow swim top, and small gold hoop earrings. THE FACE: Real, unretouched skin with fine visible texture, slightly uneven natural tone, a few freckles, natural sun warmth on the cheeks and nose, mostly matte with natural sun shine only on the nose. Minimal makeup: no foundation, no contour. THE SETTING: A wide sunny beach in Rio: pale golden sand with footprints, turquoise sea with soft white surf behind her, a deep blue clear sky. THE LIGHT: KEY — hard warm direct sun from high camera-left, crisp shadows; the same sun lights her, the jar and the sand; her hair glowing at the edges where the sun passes through. FIELD — bright: sunlit sand, turquoise sea and blue sky. Saturated and warm. THE KEY DETAILS: The golden jar held up with its lid lettering readable; her real laugh; the sea and sky. THE MOOD: Joyful, warm, confident, uplifting. Saturated warm grade: golden yellow, mango, turquoise, blue. THE COMPOSITION: Her head in the upper-middle of the tall frame with headroom, the jar at shoulder height on the right taking about a fifth of the frame height, the sea line behind her shoulders. THE CAMERA: Bright editorial lifestyle photograph, 50mm lens, eye level, her face and the jar sharp. Fine natural film grain across the whole frame including the skin. Looks like a real woman photographed on location, not a render. THE LABEL: Copy the lettering on the jar's white lid band exactly as in the first reference: the small italic serif brand name on a dotted line, the big bold condensed dark-grey product name below it, the small script line under that. No other added text anywhere.

The single bottle stands upright on the floor inside the curve of the C, label facing the camera. Two small matte orange spheres rest on the floor beside the C, and one fresh orange slice lies by the bottle's base. Why it works
Most of the creative decisions in a campaign aren't really creative decisions. The colors come from the pack, the props come from the claim and the ingredients, and the casting comes from who the product is for. Do the research first and half your campaign is decided before you write a single prompt.
Your turn: pick one product you love and go read its product page. That's step one.
And if you'd rather skip the prompting, Emero writes the prompts for you and remembers your brand so you're not repeating yourself every chat. Everything's at cost.
