Nano Banana Pro + Kling 3.0 - fixing a rhino that looked pasted on
A grey rhino balances a red cap on its horn, re-lit so it sits in the room instead of on top
In today's "animal frames" series I did a test spot styled on Ecko Unltd's look. A guy in a red Ecko jersey and camo cargos stands in a white studio, and a full-size grey rhino walks in with a red cap balanced on the tip of its horn. Ecko isn't a client, this was just a test. My first rhino looked like a sticker on top of the photo, so this one's about the relight that fixed it.
Here's my exact process.
1. Start with the room
A prompt-only white studio, window on the left. A second pass turns the floor white.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. This is a photograph taken inside a minimalist white studio from the start — not a composite. Shoot the whole space natively, with a single unified natural light source across every surface. THE VIBE: Austere, hushed, expensive emptiness — the pared-back quiet-luxury minimalism of a high-fashion campaign set before anything is placed in it. The room feels intellectual and cool, precise but not sterile, where the quality of light and the fall of a shadow are the only events. Stillness and generous negative space. THE SETTING: A clean, modern white studio — a seamless matte-white cyclorama sweep curving gently from floor to wall with no visible seam, its surface carrying the faintest real texture and tonal variation so it reads as painted plaster, not a flat digital void. A polished pale microcement floor with a soft satin sheen, subtle and almost imperceptible reflections. One tall floor-to-ceiling window just out of frame to the left. Architectural, uncluttered, refined proportions. THE LIGHT: Soft directional daylight raking in low from the left through the unseen window, casting long, clean, elongated geometric shadows across the white sweep and floor — the crisp diagonal of a window frame and mullions stretched across the wall. Gentle falloff from bright highlight to soft grey shadow, smooth gradients, no harsh clipping. Cool-neutral white balance with the faintest warmth where the sun lands. THE KEY DETAILS: The natural window-cast shadows are the subject — long, soft-edged diagonal bars and a rectangle of light on the floor. Delicate dust motes suspended in the light shaft. Subtle tonal gradation across the seamless wall. THE MOOD: Editorial, muted, cold-clinical calm with a breath of warmth. Restrained luxury. A clean neutral grade, whites held just off pure white, soft grey shadows, nothing oversaturated. THE COMPOSITION: Wide architectural frame, eye level, straight-on and balanced. Vast negative space with the shadows placed on a rule-of-thirds diagonal as the leading lines; low emphasis, open airy upper frame. THE CAMERA: Cinematic editorial architectural still — wide framing, eye-level straight position, deep focus with everything sharp edge to edge, lit exclusively by the single window daylight source with no studio strobes and no artificial separation, a clean cool-neutral naturalistic grade in the vein of Roger Deakins' understated natural light. Light falls off gently toward the frame edges. Hyperreal, tactile, every surface present.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image, but the floor is now white. Preserve everything else from the reference exactly — the seamless matte-white cyclorama wall, the soft low directional daylight from the left, the long clean geometric window-cast shadows, the composition, framing, grade and mood all stay identical. THE FLOOR (CHANGED): The floor is now a clean matte white, continuous with the seamless white cyclorama sweep so wall and floor read as one unbroken white surface, no visible seam. A soft satin sheen with subtle, almost imperceptible reflections, the faintest real texture and tonal variation so it reads as painted plaster rather than a flat digital void — never pure clipped white. THE SETTING (LOCKED): The minimalist white studio, the seamless curving cyclorama, the tall floor-to-ceiling window just out of frame to the left. Do NOT redesign the environment. THE LIGHT (LOCKED): Soft directional daylight raking in low from the left, casting long, clean, elongated geometric window-frame and mullion shadows across the white sweep and now the white floor, with gentle falloff to soft grey and smooth gradients. Cool-neutral white balance with the faintest warmth where the sun lands. Delicate dust motes in the light shaft. THE MOOD (LOCKED): Editorial, muted, cold-clinical calm with a breath of warmth, restrained luxury, clean neutral grade, whites held just off pure white. THE COMPOSITION (LOCKED): Wide architectural frame, eye level, straight-on, vast negative space, the shadows on a rule-of-thirds diagonal as leading lines, open airy upper frame. THE CAMERA (LOCKED): Cinematic editorial architectural still, deep focus everything sharp edge to edge, lit exclusively by the single window daylight source, clean cool-neutral naturalistic grade, gentle edge falloff. Hyperreal and tactile.
2. Real product photos
The rhino is Ecko's own logo animal. For the outfit I pulled two real products from Ecko's own site: the red "ECKO 72" sleeveless mesh jersey with the rhino graphic, and their camo ripstop cargo pants. Ecko doesn't sell shoes, so the white sneakers are just described. They don't sell a cap line either, so the red cap with the little grey rhino is made up for the spot.
3. Dress him
Three references: a pose frame from an earlier spot for the room only, plus the jersey photo and the cargo photo. I told the model to ignore the person in the room frame. The model is a Black guy with medium-length dreads.

Exact prompt
A polished fashion-campaign pose still in a clean white studio. THE VIBE: bold streetwear energy, premium and confident. One vivid color pop (red) against the all-white room. THE SUBJECT: a Black male model with medium-length dreadlocks, athletic build, standing in the LEFT third of the frame in a relaxed, confident street pose — weight on one hip, facing slightly toward the open right side of the frame. THE FACE: natural, self-assured expression, looking toward the open right side. THE OUTFIT — use the real products in the reference images: - From the SECOND reference image: the exact true-red Ecko sleeveless tank top with the Ecko rhino + "ECKO" graphic across the chest. Render it faithfully — same red, same graphic. - From the THIRD reference image: the exact Ecko urban-camo ripstop cargo pants. Render faithfully — same camo pattern, loose cargo fit. - Clean, crisp WHITE street sneakers. THE SETTING (UNCHANGED FROM FIRST REFERENCE): keep the identical white studio — the window on the LEFT wall casting a soft diagonal shaft of daylight, the seamless white floor-to-wall cyclorama, the clean reflective floor. IGNORE the person, gender, and clothing shown in the first reference image — that image is ONLY for the room and lighting. THE LIGHT: soft, bright, diagonal daylight from the left window; clean shadows; crisp editorial look. THE COMPOSITION: 16:9 wide. Model in the left third, big open bright white space to his right for an animal to enter later. Full figure visible, airy headroom. NO animal, NO hat, NO cap yet — just the model. THE CAMERA: eye-level, ~50mm, everything sharp on the subject.
4. The rhino, then the fix
First pass: the pose frame only, rhino from text. A photoreal adult grey rhino at true size, shoulder at his chest, head lowered, the red cap balanced on its front horn.
It looked pasted on. So I ran a second pass on that same frame and changed only the light on the rhino:
- The window on the left is the key light, so the rhino's near flank catches the same daylight as him.
- Its far side falls into soft shadow.
- A contact shadow under all four feet, matching his floor shadow.
- A bit of bounce light from the white walls and floor.
Everything else stayed identical.

Exact prompt
A polished, fashion-campaign still — same clean white studio, same male model, now joined by an impossible brand mascot delivering a cap. THE VIBE: bold streetwear surrealism. A grey rhino — Ecko's logo animal — brought to life, delivering a cap. The vivid red of the outfit and cap is the color hit against the all-white room. THE SUBJECT: the SAME Black male model with medium dreadlocks from the reference image (identical face, hair, build). He wears the EXACT same outfit — the true-red Ecko sleeveless mesh jersey ("ECKO 72"), camo ripstop cargo pants, white sneakers. He stands in the left third, turned toward the right, reaching out with a confident, pleased expression to take the cap. THE FACE: keep his face identical to the reference — same features, same dreads, self-assured half-smile. THE ANIMAL: a realistic adult grey rhinoceros — Ecko's logo rhino brought to life. Photorealistic: thick folded grey hide, textured skin, muscular build, two horns, small intelligent eye. It enters from the RIGHT side of the frame at true/real size (large, powerful, shoulder roughly at the man's chest height), lowering its big head toward the model to offer the cap. Calm and friendly rather than charging. THE PRODUCT: a true-red Ecko baseball cap (structured 6-panel cap, red, with the small grey Ecko rhino logo embroidered on the front) is balanced on the tip of the rhino's front horn, being offered up to the model as the rhino lowers its head. Render the cap clearly red and cap-shaped. THE SETTING (UNCHANGED FROM REFERENCE): keep the identical white studio — window on the LEFT casting a soft diagonal shaft of daylight, seamless white floor-to-wall cyclorama, clean reflective floor. Do not change the room. THE LIGHT: soft, bright, diagonal daylight from the left window; clean grounded contact shadow under the rhino; crisp editorial look. THE COMPOSITION: 16:9 wide. Model left third, rhino entering from the right third, the red cap on the horn at the meeting point between them. Full figures visible, airy headroom. THE CAMERA: eye-level, ~50mm, everything sharp on the subjects.

Exact prompt
Re-light the rhinoceros in this scene so it is integrated into the same studio lighting as the model — fix the "pasted on" look. Keep EVERYTHING else identical: same Black male model with dreads on the left in the red sleeveless Ecko "ECKO 72" mesh jersey, camo ripstop cargo pants and white sneakers reaching toward the rhino; same photorealistic adult grey rhinoceros entering from the right at true size; same true-red Ecko baseball cap (grey rhino logo on front) balanced on the tip of the rhino's front horn as the delivery gag; same white cyclorama studio with the window on the LEFT. LIGHTING FIX (critical): The key light is the soft daylight from the window on the LEFT. The rhino's LEFT flank (facing the model/window) must catch the same cool directional daylight that falls on the model — bright soft highlights along the left of its hide, head and horns. Its RIGHT side falls into gentle gradated shadow. Add a soft, grounded contact shadow pooling beneath the rhino's four feet on the seamless floor, matching the direction, softness and length of the model's own floor shadow. The rhino's hide should pick up subtle bounce light from the white walls and floor, and sit in the same slightly warm ambient as the rest of the room. No rim light or glow that isn't justified by the window. The result: the rhino looks physically present in the room, same exposure and white balance as the model, not composited on top.
5. Logo card, with a catch
Quick warning: I couldn't get the real Ecko logo file. The logo sites I tried blocked the download. So the charging rhino and the "ecko unltd." wordmark here are the model's reproduction from a text description, with the delivery frame for the room. It's close, but it isn't the official mark. Use the real file if you've got it.

Exact prompt
Brand end-card for a fashion campaign. Clean, empty white cyclorama photo studio — seamless white floor curving into white wall, soft diagonal daylight from a window on the LEFT (same studio as the referenced scene), NO people, NO animals, NO furniture, NO mirror. An empty, calm, bright room. Centered in the frame, render the Eckō Unltd streetwear logo EXACTLY ONCE (no duplicate, no echo, no reflection, no repeat): a solid black charging rhinoceros silhouette (side profile, facing right, head lowered, running stance — the classic Ecko rhino), with the lowercase wordmark "ecko unltd." set directly beneath it in a clean bold lowercase typeface. Logo is flat solid black, crisp vector-style edges, sitting cleanly on the white studio wall like a projected brand mark. Keep it simple, iconic, high-contrast, well-centered with generous white space around it. Only ONE logo in the entire image.
6. Walk-in
I reused a blank-wall frame of this same room from an earlier spot as the start, with the pose frame as the end. He walks in from the right, away from the window, and settles center-left.

Exact prompt
A clean, empty fashion studio — the EXACT same white studio from the reference image: the window on the LEFT casting a soft diagonal shaft of daylight across the floor, the seamless white floor-to-wall cyclorama, the clean reflective floor. The room is COMPLETELY EMPTY: no people, no model, no animal, no handbag, and NO logo or text anywhere on the walls. Just the pristine, bright, empty white studio with its window light. Pure blank white cyclorama walls. 16:9, eye-level, ~50mm, soft bright diagonal daylight from the left window. Minimal, airy, premium.
Exact prompt
Fashion campaign spot, segment 1 of 3 (walk-in). Static locked-off camera on the empty white cyclorama studio, soft window daylight from the left. A Black male model with dreads, wearing the red sleeveless Ecko "ECKO 72" mesh jersey, camo ripstop cargo pants and white sneakers, walks IN FROM THE RIGHT side of the frame (the side away from the window), striding confidently into the room, and comes to a stop in the center-left, settling into a relaxed standing pose facing slightly left. Smooth natural walking motion, confident runway energy. Ends exactly on the final pose. Camera does not move. No other people or animals.
7. Delivery
Pose to delivery. The rhino walks in from the right with the cap on its horn, lowers its head, and he reaches for it. I asked for heavy, grounded movement.
Exact prompt
Fashion campaign spot, segment 2 of 3 (delivery). Static locked-off camera on the white cyclorama studio, soft window daylight from the left. The Black male model with dreads in the red Ecko "ECKO 72" jersey and camo pants stands center-left. A massive photorealistic grey rhinoceros walks IN FROM THE RIGHT side of the frame (the side away from the window), approaching at true size, carrying a true-red Ecko baseball cap balanced on the tip of its front horn. The rhino lowers its head to offer the cap toward the model, and the model reaches out toward it. Heavy, grounded, believable rhino movement; clean studio. Ends exactly on the moment the model reaches for the cap on the horn. Camera does not move.
8. Walk-off
He takes the cap off the horn, then he and the rhino turn and walk out right. Once the room's empty the logo snaps onto the wall.
Exact prompt
Fashion campaign spot, segment 3 of 3 (walk-off + logo). Static locked-off camera on the white cyclorama studio, soft window daylight from the left. The Black male model with dreads in the red Ecko "ECKO 72" jersey and camo pants takes the red Ecko cap off the rhino's horn, then the model and the grey rhinoceros both turn and walk OFF together toward the RIGHT side of the frame (the side away from the window), exiting the room. As they clear the frame and the studio is empty, the black Eckō Unltd rhino logo with the "eckō unltd." wordmark cleanly snaps into view centered on the studio wall as the end-card. Smooth confident motion, clean logo reveal at the end. Camera does not move.

Emero put the three clips together for me.
Exact prompt
Combine the clips in order
Why it works
The first rhino didn't share his light. Once its key light, floor shadow and wall bounce matched his, it sat in the room with him instead of on top of the picture.
Your turn: next time something looks pasted on, don't regenerate the animal. Keep the frame and ask for a relight.
Emero writes these fixes into your prompts and remembers them for next time, at cost.
