Nano Banana Pro - giant ingredient props for a skincare product

Turn the product's hero ingredient into giant glossy props instead of inventing new ones

Nano Banana Pro - giant ingredient props for a skincare product

What do you put next to your product when you run out of prop ideas?

My answer was the ingredient list. I was testing with a Beauty of Joseon face mask, and red beans are right there in the name. They're not a client, I just picked the product to test with. So I made the bean the whole set: a giant monument, a candy and a macro of the real thing. Each shot is a single prompt, and the only reference I used is one photo of the jar.

Here's how I built it.

1. Pick an ingredient people can picture

First I pick the one ingredient you could draw from memory. A red bean has a shape everyone knows: a kidney shape with a little white stripe on the side. That stripe ended up in every bean shot, so it's worth naming in the prompt.

2. Make it huge and put the product on top

I asked for a bean about five times wider than the jar, glossy candy-apple red like glazed ceramic, on a hot pink seamless backdrop, shot from low. The jar sits on top like a crown, and a few normal-size glossy beans on the floor give it scale.

And listen, it's not perfect. I described the light as coming from a softbox, and the model put an actual softbox in the top corner of the frame. My guess is it took the word literally. I haven't rerun it yet, but next time I'd describe what the light does and leave the gear out. The white stripe also reads a little like a smile, which you either love or don't ๐Ÿ˜…

Exact prompt

Create a new photorealistic image. Preserve the exact product from the first reference: the cylindrical skincare jar with the smooth matte dusty-rose red-bean-pink body, the clean white rounded screw cap, and the square off-white textured paper label. THE VIBE: Surreal scale play in a candy-pink universe โ€” the product crowned on top of a monumental ingredient. Deadpan, bold, sculptural, like a pop-art monument. THE SUBJECT: The jar from the first reference, lid on, standing upright on the top of a giant red bean sculpture. The bean is enormous โ€” about five times wider than the jar โ€” kidney-shaped, lacquered glossy candy-apple crimson-red with a small creamy-white hilum stripe along its side, surface like glazed ceramic with mirror-like specular highlights. THE SETTING: A seamless hot-pink magenta studio backdrop, smooth paper sweep curving into the floor, the bean resting on the floor with a soft contact shadow. THE LIGHT: Large soft overhead softbox from front-right, crisp white specular streaks across the bean's lacquer curves, a clean rim light on the jar, soft falloff into slightly deeper magenta at the frame edges. Punchy-saturated pink and red grade. THE KEY DETAILS: The jar's reflection faintly visible on the glossy top of the bean; a few smaller glossy red beans scattered on the floor near the giant one for scale. THE MOOD: Confident, playful, sculptural โ€” an ingredient story told through a giant candy object. THE COMPOSITION: Low angle looking up, the bean filling the lower half of the frame, the jar sitting at the top as the crown, centred, generous hot-pink negative space above. Vertical 9:16. THE CAMERA: Campaign hero capture, slightly wide lens from low angle for monumentality, everything sharp. THE LABEL: Label faces camera: the black brush-calligraphy Korean logo with small red seal, serif text "Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask" and "Beauty of Joseon", clean and readable. Tactile, hyperreal, highly detailed, no composited feel.

3. Turn the ingredient into candy

Then I made it edible. I asked for a lollipop with a candy head shaped like a red bean, see-through rose and strawberry pink hard candy with tiny air bubbles inside, the white stripe on the side, on a pearl white stick. The background fades from bubblegum pink to peach and butter yellow, and the light comes from behind so the candy glows.

You can see the stick through the candy, and that little detail is what makes it look like real hard candy to me.

Exact prompt

Create a new photorealistic image of a surreal confection. THE VIBE: A monumental candy object glowing like stained glass โ€” sweet, luminous, a little absurd. The red bean reimagined as a glass lollipop. THE SUBJECT: A lollipop whose candy head is shaped like a large kidney-shaped red bean, made of translucent glossy hard candy in rose-red and strawberry-pink, with a thin iridescent pearly film on its surface, tiny trapped air bubbles suspended inside the candy, and a small creamy-white stripe on one side like a bean's hilum. It sits on a glossy pearl-white stick. THE SETTING: A smooth gradient backdrop blending from bubblegum pink at the top to soft peach and butter-yellow at the bottom. THE LIGHT: Strong backlight shining through the candy so it glows from within with deep red-pink internal luminosity; crisp white specular highlights on the curved surface; iridescent rainbow sheen at the edges; a soft rim light on the stick. THE KEY DETAILS: Visible thickness at the candy's edges, the tiny bubbles catching light, a clean glossy shine on the white stick. THE MOOD: Pop candy dreamscape โ€” sweet, glowing, irresistible. THE COMPOSITION: Low angle looking up, lollipop head in upper-centre, stick extending down out of the bottom of frame like a monument. Vertical 9:16. THE CAMERA: Macro product capture, shallow depth of field, candy tack-sharp. Every element feels tactile and present, hyperreal, highly detailed.

4. Go macro on the real bean

Last, the actual ingredient with no styling: five dark red beans sinking into thick, glossy pink gel, one of them mid-drop with a thin strand of gel stretching after it.

It came out with the strand coming down from above onto the falling bean, so it reads more like a drip than a splash. There are tiny air bubbles all through the gel.

Exact prompt

Create a new photorealistic image of an ingredient macro. THE VIBE: Sensual, slow, glossy โ€” red beans sinking into thick pink gel, frozen mid-moment. Tactile and hypnotic, the ingredient story made luxurious. THE SUBJECT: Five glossy dark crimson-red adzuki beans, each with a small cream-white stripe, sinking and resting in a thick, glossy, translucent bubblegum-pink gel. One bean mid-drop above the surface with a thin strand of gel stretching up after it; the others partly submerged, gel folding around them in smooth curving ripples. THE SETTING: The gel fills the whole frame like a pool, soft rose-pink depth below the surface. THE LIGHT: Soft top-left key with long crisp white specular streaks on the gel ripples and on the beans' glossy skins, backlight glowing through the translucent gel. Pastel-to-rose pink grade. THE KEY DETAILS: The gel meniscus hugging each bean, a few tiny air bubbles inside the gel, the stretched strand catching the light. THE MOOD: Luxurious, slow, satisfying. THE COMPOSITION: Close macro at a low three-quarter angle, the dropping bean in the upper-centre, submerged beans in the lower third. Vertical 9:16. THE CAMERA: Macro capture, shallow depth of field, focus on the dropping bean and the strand. Hyperreal, highly detailed, tactile.

Why it works

When I planned this set, every prop came straight off the label, so I never had to guess what goes next to the jar. Two of these three shots don't even show the jar, and they still feel like part of the same campaign because the bean is literally in the product's name.

Your turn: read your product's ingredient list and circle the one thing you could draw.

If you want help with the prompts, Emero writes them for you and keeps your product locked across the whole set, at cost.
