Nano Banana Pro - moodboard to skincare campaign
Read a pink moodboard first, then rebuild each of its shots around one skincare jar
Ever saved a moodboard and then had no idea how to turn it into actual shots?
I wanted to test that. I took a moodboard of glossy pink candy images and one product photo of the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean pore mask, and built a campaign out of it. Beauty of Joseon isn't a client, this was just a test. Every shot below came out on its first prompt, with that one product photo as the reference.
Here's my exact process.
1. Read the moodboard before you prompt anything
First, I don't write a single prompt. I ask Claude to study the moodboard and tell me back what it sees. Mine had 7 images: soap bubbles, a woman sitting on a giant pink ball, a woman leaning on two giant cherries, a woman standing between giant pink chess pieces, a serum bottle in a swirl of pink cream, puffy jelly letters and a glass lollipop.
What came back was way more useful than "pink and dreamy". It's almost all one color, from blush to hot pink, with pearl white as a second color and black only as a small accent. Everything is glossy, like lacquer or candy shell. Small everyday stuff is blown up to human size, and the models treat those giant props like it's totally normal. And it splits into two kinds of shots: fashion shots with a person and a giant prop, and close-up still lifes with no people at all.
That split is how I got my shot list. I literally told the agent "use emero to build a campaign with 3 hero shots, 4 people shots, and 4 vibe shots of this product".
2. Swap the moodboard's prop for your product's world
Now each moodboard image becomes a product shot. I keep the pose, the set and the styling, and swap the prop for something that comes from the product. This mask is made with red beans, so the giant pink ball became a giant glossy pink bean.
She's in a pink ruffled high-neck dress and pink satin pumps on an off-white seamless wall, hand at her temple, with the jar resting on her thigh. There's a tiny red bean on the floor next to her.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. Preserve the exact product from the first reference: the cylindrical skincare jar with the smooth matte dusty-rose red-bean-pink body, white rounded cap, and square off-white paper label. THE VIBE: Fashion editorial meets surreal candy sculpture — a poised woman perched atop a giant glossy pink bean as if it's the most natural seat in the world. Tonal pink, elegant, playful. THE SUBJECT: A woman in her mid-20s with deep brown skin with warm red-copper undertone, sleek dark hair pulled into a high bun, glossy rose lips, defined brows. She wears the voluminous bubblegum-pink ruffled high-neck dress with long puffed sleeves and tiered ruffles, and pointed pink satin pumps. She sits sideways atop the object, one leg crossed over the other, one elbow resting on her raised knee with her hand at her temple, the other hand holding the jar from the first reference casually against her thigh with the label facing camera. Gaze drifting off-camera, relaxed and aloof. THE FACE: Natural skin texture, no airbrushing, no plastic or waxy skin, luminous skin with natural sheen on the cheekbones and nose bridge, warm depth in the shadows. THE SETTING: A seamless off-white studio sweep. She sits on a giant inflated kidney-shaped bean sculpture, about as tall as her waist, lacquered glossy baby-pink with a soft dimple, reflective vinyl-like surface. THE LIGHT: Large soft frontal-left softbox, crisp white highlights on the bean's gloss and on her satin shoes, soft grounded contact shadow. Clean pastel pink grade. THE KEY DETAILS: The jar held in her hand; a single glossy red bean resting on the floor by the sculpture. THE MOOD: Barbiecore editorial — confident, sweet, deadpan surreal. THE COMPOSITION: Full body, subject centred-high on the sculpture, sculpture filling the lower half, generous off-white negative space. Vertical 9:16. THE CAMERA: Editorial fashion capture, 70mm lens at eye level, everything sharp, clean seamless background. THE LABEL: Jar label faces camera, the black calligraphy logo readable; fine print de-emphasised at this distance.
3. Make the product itself the giant prop
For the cherry shot, I went one step further and blew up the product itself. Two giant jars stacked waist-high, and she leans on them in a black cropped hoodie, white briefs, white socks and black Mary Janes, on the same warm grey as the moodboard.
The best part? The giant labels came out perfect. The calligraphy logo, the product name and the brand name all read. My guess is it helps that the label takes up so much of the frame.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. Preserve the exact product from the first reference: the cylindrical skincare jar with the smooth matte dusty-rose red-bean-pink body, white rounded cap, and square off-white paper label with black calligraphy logo. THE VIBE: Surreal scale play with a streetwear edge — a model casually leaning on a stack of giant versions of the product. Contrast styling against a soft warm-grey world, the pink jars popping like candy. THE SUBJECT: A woman in her early 20s with fair skin with neutral undertone, light brown hair pulled into a loose low ponytail with a few face-framing strands, soft bare makeup with rosy lip balm. She wears the black cropped zip-up hoodie, white cotton briefs, white crew socks and black Mary Jane shoes. She leans with her forearms resting on top of the stack, weight on one leg, other knee slightly bent, one hand touching her chin, gaze off to the side. THE FACE: Natural skin texture, no airbrushing, no plastic or waxy skin, subtle tonal variation, soft organic light. THE KEY DETAILS: Two giant replicas of the jar from the first reference stacked on top of each other, each about waist-high, the matte pink bodies and white caps exactly as the product, the labels facing camera — oversized sculptural props. THE SETTING: A seamless warm taupe-grey studio backdrop and floor. THE LIGHT: Soft large key from front-left, gentle shadows, clean highlights on the white caps. Muted warm-grey background with the pink jars as the saturated accent. THE MOOD: Cool, casual, deadpan surreal fashion editorial. THE COMPOSITION: Three-quarter to full body, the jar stack on frame-right, the woman leaning into it from frame-left, both occupying one unified frame. Vertical 9:16. THE CAMERA: Editorial fashion capture, 50mm, eye level, everything sharp. THE LABEL: Giant labels readable: black calligraphy logo with red seal, serif "Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask" and "Beauty of Joseon".
4. Mix both ideas for the big set
For the chess shot I used both tricks at once: two giant pink beans standing on end, a giant jar as a pedestal, a checkerboard floor and a black background. She's in a cropped pink leather jacket and a white tulle skirt.
There's a catch though: when she holds the real-size jar at full body distance, the label turns to mush. It happened in the bean shot from step 2 too. So I let these wide shots sell the mood, and I save the label for the giant jars and the close-ups.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image. Preserve the exact product from the first reference: the cylindrical skincare jar with the smooth matte dusty-rose red-bean-pink body, white rounded cap, and square off-white paper label. THE VIBE: A surreal candy game board — a model standing powerful among giant glossy sculptures, like a queen in a pink chess set made of beans. Bold, fashion-forward, dramatic. THE SUBJECT: A woman in her late 20s with light olive skin, long wavy honey-brown hair, glossy pink lips and soft bronzed makeup. She wears the cropped baby-pink leather moto jacket over a white fitted top, the voluminous white tiered tulle mini skirt, and pointed pink pumps. She stands with legs apart in a confident wide stance, weight shifted to one hip, one hand on her hip, the other hand holding the jar from the first reference low at her side, chin slightly raised, gaze to camera-left. THE FACE: Natural skin texture, no airbrushing, no plastic or waxy skin, subtle tonal variation. THE SETTING: A glossy black-and-white checkerboard floor extending back into a dark black void. Around her stand giant sculptures taller than her: two enormous glossy baby-pink lacquered kidney-shaped beans standing on end, and one giant replica of the jar from the first reference in pink with white cap, all with mirror-glossy surfaces reflecting in the floor. THE LIGHT: Hard-ish studio key from top-right with crisp specular highlights on the glossy sculptures and her leather jacket, dark falloff into the black background, reflections on the checker floor. Punchy saturated pink against black and white. THE MOOD: Powerful, glamorous, pop-surreal — a candy chess match. THE COMPOSITION: Low angle, full body, subject centred with sculptures framing her on both sides and one partially cropped in the foreground edge. Vertical 9:16. THE CAMERA: Editorial campaign capture, 35mm lens from low angle, everything sharp. THE LABEL: The held jar's calligraphy logo readable; fine print de-emphasised.
5. Turn the moodboard's type into your product's name
The moodboard had puffy jelly letters spelling a made-up name. I usually keep text out of my images and add it in an editor afterward, but here the letters are the whole subject. So I asked for "RED BEAN" in two lines of see-through jelly on a hot pink surface, seen from straight above.
It spelled it right on the first try. The letters came out clear instead of pink, sitting on the magenta.

Exact prompt
Create a new photorealistic image of 3D typography. THE VIBE: Puffy, jelly, edible letters sitting on a hot pink surface — like gummy candy that spells out the ingredient. Playful, bold, glossy. THE SUBJECT: The words "RED BEAN" in two stacked lines — "RED" on top, "BEAN" below — formed as chunky, rounded, puffy 3D letters made of translucent pink jelly, slightly wobbly and bouncy in shape, letters overlapping and leaning playfully. Glossy wet surfaces with bright white specular highlights, tiny trapped air bubbles inside, light passing through the edges so they glow deeper pink. THE SETTING: Lying on a flat, smooth hot-pink magenta surface filling the whole frame. THE LIGHT: Soft overhead key from top-left creating crisp specular glints on every letter curve, soft pink-tinted translucent shadows cast onto the surface to the lower right. Saturated magenta grade. THE KEY DETAILS: The letters spelled correctly: R-E-D and B-E-A-N; a couple of tiny jelly droplets beside the letters. THE MOOD: Candy-pop, fun, tactile. THE COMPOSITION: Top-down view, the word stack centred with generous hot-pink space around. Vertical 9:16. THE CAMERA: Product capture, overhead, everything sharp. Hyperreal, highly detailed.
Why it works
Whoever made the moodboard already picked the colors, the materials, the poses and the sets. Having Claude describe it back to me first meant I knew exactly what to keep. The only thing I had to decide was what to swap in, and both answers came off the product: the bean from the label and the jar itself.
Your turn: open one moodboard you saved and ask Claude to describe it back to you before you prompt anything.
And if you'd rather skip the prompting, Emero turns your moodboard and product photo into prompts and remembers the look for your next shoot, at cost.
